Good work!

Today was a fun work day. Not to say every other day isn’t one, but today was especially cool. Me and my father started the morning by moving 2 pianos . One grand and one spinet. It is funny how people think that pianos are the hardest thing to move, but it’s actually not that hard. I also bought new business cards and bought my website domain today. That is what summer is all about. Less work = more work because you think you have less work!! PS if you want your piano moved, tuned, sold, or played, just contact Patrick and Patrick. We’ll take care of it for ya!

Composing Again…

Today I have been composing new songs… I am already thinking about the album after my debut “Looking Through the Rain”. I got the idea for one of the songs today from a guitar and flute piece that I had written about a week ago. It’s in the key of B minor and has strong right hand melodies (sort of like the way a flute would be played).

The weather here in Tennessee was dreary and wet with downpour for several days, and this gave me a picture that I turned into sound.

Album cover finally done!

If you had read my last post, you’d know I had just sent the album cover photo off to be finalized. Now it’s back and it’s GREAT! I love how the rain is still, that way you are “looking through the rain” like the title suggests. Also the song “A Still Moment” fits perfectly with the cover. I’m very excited to release it, it looks like it is going to be going out all digital first, then the pressing of the CD’s comes later.

Here’s the photo, check it out!

Rainy Day

These rainy days make me tired (supposedly because of decreased oxygen levels but who knows) but they are inspiring too. After all, my upcoming album is about looking through it! I have now found the album cover that will be used and its getting the details put in now. THE PICTURE BELOW IS NOT IT!!! I am very excited and am eagerly awaiting Looking Through The Rain’s release!

When i get the picture back, i will be posting it on the Patrick Hebert II Facebook Fanpage. Here’s the link, check it out and LIKE !

Hello Again!

Hello everyone! Today I have been practicing my various classical pieces and conversing with my french friends. The day has been pretty slow so far, but that’s ok because I can get more practice in! I’ve been studying some Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin, and Satie. I’ve been composing a lot as well, but recently I’ve taken to writing more orchestral music. I’ve written a couple of Wind Trios, and I am working on a String Quartet now. It’s lots of fun! Maybe in one of my upcoming posts I’ll attach the mp3. files so you can hear them!

I’ve been really struck lately about how much time we as people really have. A normal person has 49 hours of free, leisure time throughout a week. WOW! If only we used this time to the better, as oppose to squandering it away with meaningless activities. It’s really interesting how time passes, it doesn’t even seem HALF as long as it really is! They say that time gets faster as you get older, and I guess it’s true!

Well that’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed reading this blog, please check out my other sites and follow this blog if you want to see more!

Au Revoir!

Time to hit it hard!

Hello everyone! Hope all has been going well your way. Lots has happened since my last post. Me and my father finished both of our respective albums over the Christmas and New Year season. We went all the way up to the cold, cold north to record them! In New Hampshire we also got to visit with family for the holidays and it was a great time. We stayed for two full weeks and it was the best two weeks I’ve had!

So now it’s time to really hit it hard on the social medias. I’m going to need YOUR HELP! Please take advantage of the oh-so-prevalent internet and follow me on Twitter, Facebook and all that. I will be posting on Twitter, Facebook, and WordPress regularly to keep everyone informed on what is happening here at Highland. Ever since we’ve got back we have been trying to finish the album covers so that we’ll be able to release the album digitally. They will be everywhere you can imagine, including iTunes, Rhapsody, Spotify, Jango, all those places! I myself am very, very excited to be releasing a full scale piano solo album at the age of 16. I can’t wait until this one is on the internet for all to hear! You can email me directly at patrickleehebert99@gmail.com to be put on the MAILING LIST to be notified about the albums release. Don’t worry, I won’t pester you with repetitious emails about this or that. They are not automated, it is actually ME talking (it seems so rare to have an actual human talking to you as oppose to a robot eh?). Shoot me an email now if you’d like to be one of the first to buy a young composer’s DEBUT ALBUM!!

So thanks for taking the time to read through this post and check out my social media sites and follow me on them ( hint hint ). Have a great one and see y’all next time!
